I was a  graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing/Sales. After a short career in sales I became interested in management and secured a position in Human Resource Management within the health care industry.  I later completed the requirements for and Master of Science in Administration Degree from Central Michigan University. After 18 successful years in hospital administration I decided a change was once again in order. In 1991 I secured a real estate license and within the next 3 or 4 years I developed a strong cliental, completed the requirements for a broker's license and an appraisers license. In 2000 I purchased the RE/MAX franchise and "RE/MAX Brookside" was founded. 

Throughout my real estate career I have been an award winning producer. I have always tried to focus on one client at a time and to drive hard towards the goal of meeting their real estate needs in a timely and professional manner. My strength has always been in successful negotiations and positive communications rather than focusing on volume and accepting that a large percentage of the deals on the table would not close. My approach has always been focused on satisfied clients and customers and the highest standards of integrity with the hope that repeat business, referrals and word of mouth marketing would insure still greater success in the future!  In 2003, and again in 2004 and 2006, I was inducted into the prestigious RE/MAX 100% Club . At this point we are well on the way to building an award winning office using the same principles which have resulted in my personal success. I now find myself in the unique position where my background and experience in both management and in sales can provide the foundation needed to enhance my personal sales and my professional staff's productivity.

I joined the RE/MAX Brookside team in April of 2004.  Since then I have had a very successful career in Real Estate.  My previous employment experience was in Retail Management, where I was the Assistant Manager for a wildlife art gallery called The Wooden Bird.  In the summers of 1998 & 1999, I worked in Yellowstone National Park at the Old Faithful Inn Dining Room (the fourth busiest restaurant in the nation).  It was an experience I will never forget!  I was also active for three summers working with Boy Scouts of America teaching merit badge classes.

I attended Mid Michigan Community College, Purdue University, and Central Michigan University studying Biology and Natural Resources.

RE/MAX Brookside experienced great success in 2006!  Our gross receipts were +35%, agent income +40%, and our gross volume was +45%.  In fact MY BUSINESS IS UP BY 55%! Closing just short of $2,000,000 gross volume!  There must be something that I am doing right or different than the rest of the competition!  So the question is……WHY WOULD YOU LIST OR BUY WITH ANYONE ELSE?  When hiring your agent, do you want someone with the glass half empty or half full?  I take pride in my business and services that I can offer to you!

  In 2006-present I have sat on the Board of Directors, as Secretary/Vice President of Membership, for the Sales Advisory Council for RE/MAX of Michigan.  We get together with reps from each office in our Region to discuss the market conditions, plan educational conferences, and fundraising ideas for Children’s Miracle Network and Susan G. Komen For The Cure.  From 2006-present, I have been a member of the Multiple Listing Service Committee through our Board of REALTORS.  In 2006, I was also a member of the Publicity & Public Relations committee through our Board of REALTORS, which ran a REALTOR Reach Out Day (we planted perennials and cleaned up yards in a Clare, Isabella, and Gratiot Counties), a coat drive for Mid Michigan Action Agency, and raised money to buy frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving baskets to be distributed in our communities.  I participate in the America’s Walk for Diabetes and Susan G. Komen For The Cure fundraising walks in Grand Rapids, MI annually, and in 2006 I started RE/MAX Brookside’s first Pet Adoption with the Clare County Animal Shelter called:  RE/MAX-Helping Everyone Find The Perfect Home!  I have just finished the requirements for the Accredited Buyer Representation designation and by May of 2007, my Real Estate Broker’s license.  In February 2007, I was awarded with an Executive Club Sales Award for my hard work in 2006.  More importantly, out of over 1,100 agents in our RE/MAX of Michigan Region, I was awarded the 2006 Spirit Award!!!  This award is our regions top award presented to an Associate in recognition of their dedication and service to the Region.

My name is Rebeka Lynds and I am a new agent that is very motivated, hardworking and excited about joining the RE/MAX Brookside team!  I am originally from Alma where my family is very involved in investment real estate and construction.  I have grown up in and around the business and that is why I have chosen to start a career in real-estate. I also served in the Navy as a construction Electrician, where I earned a strong education in the building and maintenance of commercial and residential structures.  After spending some time in Clare I fell in love with the people and the community.  I enjoy getting involved in community and am currently a member of the summer fest committee, and the summer concert series committee.  I look forward to working with you on upcoming events and with all your real estate needs.  I always have time for your referrals so if you have friends, neighbors, or family with real estate needs I would appreciate it if you would point them in my direction!
